In 2013, Mercedes-Benz recognized that customers need something they can be proud of without having to give up their pay checks. To solve this crisis, Mercedes-Benz gave us the CLA. Three years later, the 2016 Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class in Scottsdale AZ resides at the apex of affordability and class. It is the entry-level Mercedes-Benz sedan in the United States market and pulls ahead of the competition with upscale interior and unexpected performance.
The CLA shares many design similarities with the CLS. It is meant to be stylish and elegant without the need for expensive materials, which is something that is not easily done for Mercedes-Benz. The curvature on the outside gives the CLA a healthy amount of class without attracting unwanted attention. From the front, the CLA sports unique headlights with LED "flame effect " daytime running lights and turn signals. These, along with a diamond-look grille, position the CLA very highly in the younger target segment.
On the inside, the CLA can be found with many finishes to complement different themes. It is available with wood, aluminum, or anthracite trim elements, among others, and comes standard with a large free-standing display. A panorama sunroof is also available with a polycarbonate cover and side trim elements.

As the entry-level sedan under the Mercedes-Benz name, the CLA-class is available in two very distinct trims, covering both sport and efficiency. The CLA250 is the base model trim with 208 horsepower. It can be purchased with front-wheel drive or upgraded to 4MATIC all-wheel drive for more control. The front-wheel drive model is able to get up to 38 miles per gallon on the highway. On the other side of the spectrum, the CLA45 AMG has an output of 375 horsepower. Even with this trim, which comes with all-wheel drive as a standard, the CLA still gets 31 miles per gallon on the highway.
All variations of the CLA-Class come standard with a 7-speed automatic transmission. Both engines are turbocharged and both can be equipped with the same interior options such as convenience features and infotainment packages.
