2017 Mercedes-Benz GLS Towing Capacity

Before you commit to a new vehicle, it’s important to find one with the capabilities you need most. It can be challenging to find a vehicle that meets all your requirements, but it’s not impossible. Today we’re going to help by taking a closer look at the 2017 Mercedes-Benz GLS to see how much it is able to tow. This could be a huge deciding factor if you are looking for a powerful vehicle.

How much can the 2017 Mercedes-Benz GLS tow?

The 2017 Mercedes-Benz GLS comes standard with a 3.0-liter V6 engine that produces 362 horsepower. The Mercedes-Benz GLS also has 4MATIC® all-wheel drive that will help tackle any road or weather conditions. It is always engaged to help you stay in control and remain confident on the road. It works with the Electronic Stability Program for maximum effectiveness in corners and slippery conditions. It also incorporates the Electronic Traction System, which monitors for the first sign of wheel slip and responds to give the best grip to the tire(s) that need it most.

Does the Mercedes-Benz GLS come with a trailer hitch?

This engine also helps give the Mercedes-Benz GLS a towing capacity of 7,500 pounds. This means you will be able to bring some extra cargo along for the ride with the help of a trailer or small camper. The GLS has an optional trailer hitch to help get the job done. The hitch option includes the wiring harnesses for the trailer lights and brakes. The GLS also has Standard Trailer Stability Assist to help keep trailer sway under control.
