In all, there are four trim levels for the 2022 GLA. The lineup begins with the GLA 250 and the GLA 250 4MATIC® above that. The latter of which simply adds Mercedes-Benz 4MATIC® all-wheel drive to the package. Above these two you have two AMG® performance trim levels with the Mercedes-AMG® GLA 35 and the Mercedes-AMG® GLA 45.

The GLA 250 and GLA 250 4MATIC® come with a 7-inch touchscreen display that includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto along with the Mercedes-Benz User Experience which includes voice control. You also get dual-zone climate control, adaptive braking, LED headlights, and a 2.0-liter turbo engine that generates 221 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque.

Both AMG models add features like a 10.25-inch touchscreen, 19-inch AMG® alloy wheels, an AMG® sport suspension, and a 64-color ambient lighting system with optional features such as the night package, larger wheels, and more. The big difference though is what’s under the hood.
The 2022 Mercedes-AMG® GLA 35 gets an enhanced version of the 2.0-liter turbo engine. This upgraded version can produce 302 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. The 2022 Mercedes-AMG® GLA 45 goes beyond even that with a hand-crafted version of the engine that can generate up to 382 horsepower and 354 pound-feet of torque for a 0-60 mph time of 4.3 seconds.
