The Mercedes-Benz EQS is getting a lot of hype, and rightfully so. In fact, we have some early numbers that will make this model even easier to get excited about. Keep in mind, these numbers are early, may not be final, and have not been tested through the EPA as of yet. The EQS has two power ratings. The EQS 450+ will provide you with 329 horsepower and 406 pound-feet of torque. Above that, the EQS 580 4MATIC® will give you up to 516 horsepower and 611 pound-feet of torque. This powerplant can propel the EQS from 0-60 mpg in just 4.1 seconds and it can hit an estimated top speed of 130 mph.
When it comes to range, this hasn’t been rated by the EPA as of now. However, the WLPT estimated the range. The WLPT is a European testing standard similar to the EPA range tests and usually provides numbers a little higher than the EPA. It marked the range at 770 kilometers or 478 miles for the EQS 580 4MATIC®.
