Let’s take a look at the upcoming 2022 Mercedes EQS and answer a few questions, such as how long will take to charge the 2022 EQS?
The 2022 EQS will be powered by a 107.8 kWh battery pack. For comparison, the popular Tesla Model 3 battery pack only goes up to 82 kWh. On a DC fast charger, it can charge from 10% to 100% in only 31 minutes. At home, with a Level 2 240V AC charger, it can reach an empty-to-full charge in 11.25 hours.
The 107.8 kWh battery pack isn’t just for capacity. It also provides exceptional performance. The 2022 EQS 450+ is rated at 329 horsepower and 406 lb-ft of torque. The EQS 580 4Matic has 516 horsepower and 611 lb-ft of torque. The EQS 450+ can do 0-60 mph in 5.5 seconds; the EQS 580 4MATIC does 0-60 mpg in only 4.1 seconds. The estimated top speed for the 2022 EQS is 130 mph. Official single charge range numbers for any of the 2022 EQS models hasn’t been revealed at the time of writing.
