How Often Should You Get Wheels Aligned?

Alignment is something that is easy to ignore until you can barely hold the steering wheel, but that doesn’t mean your car doesn’t need it. Actually, how often you should get your wheels aligned has less to do with driving in a straight line than it does with simply extending the life of your vehicle.

What is a Wheel Alignment?

Mechanics are quick to throw around service terms like wheel balancing, tire rotation, and computerized four-wheel alignment. What does that all that even mean? If your wheels aren’t pointing straight ahead, your car can pull itself to the left or the right, causing excess stress on your suspension and steering systems. Stress that you don’t need, you know?

As a rule of thumb, you should have your wheels aligned once a year. By getting this out of the way, you can enjoy peace of mind, improved fuel economy, and you can avoid unnecessary car problems in the future.
