A Guide to Connecting Multiple Smartphones with Your Mercedes-Benz via Bluetooth®

How to Pair Multiple Bluetooth® Devices with Your Mercedes-Benz

One of the many advanced features of a Mercedes-Benz is its Bluetooth® connectivity, which allows you to stay connected on the road safely. With just a few simple steps, you can pair your smartphone to make hands-free calls, access contacts, and even stream your favorite music without taking your hands off the wheel.

At Mercedes-Benz of Scottsdale in Scottsdale, AZ, we’re here to guide you on how to pair multiple Bluetooth® devices with your Mercedes-Benz so you can enjoy an effortless connection every time you drive.

How to Use the Digital Vehicle Key Feature in Mercedes-Benz

Steps to Pair Multiple Bluetooth® Devices with Your Mercedes-Benz

Step 1: Prepare Your Smartphone and Multimedia System

To connect your smartphone to the Mercedes-Benz multimedia system, activate Bluetooth on both your phone and the multimedia system. Remember, the vehicle needs to be parked while setting up the connection.

Step 2: Activate Bluetooth on the Multimedia System

Access the multimedia system’s home screen, then navigate to the settings menu. Select the “System” tab, then go to “Internet and Bluetooth” to enable Bluetooth. This will allow the system to begin searching for nearby devices.

Step 3: Connect Your Smartphone

Go to the “Telephone” menu from the multimedia system’s home screen. Tap on the gear icon, select “Devices,” and choose “Connect New Device.” This will prompt the system to search for available devices. Once your smartphone appears on the list, select it to initiate pairing.

Step 4: Confirm the Pairing Code

A code will display on both your multimedia screen and smartphone. Verify that the codes match, then confirm the pairing on your smartphone. This establishes a secure connection between the two devices. When Bluetooth is enabled on your phone, it will connect automatically to your Mercedes-Benz.

Step 5: Add a Second Device

You can pair a second mobile device by following the same steps. The primary phone remains active for hands-free functions, while the second device can receive calls and messages in the background. This feature is ideal for drivers who want to stay accessible on two devices without switching connections.
