How to repair burn marks in leather seats

There is nothing like the disappointment of finding a burn in your leather seats. Maybe it was your fault or maybe a careless friend left the indelible mark in your brand new CLA Coupe. The point is, it usually isn’t enough high enough of a priority to go to a service center, so you have to see it every time you get in your car. Cut it Out

Even if you don’t do the next two steps, cutting the burn out of the leather can help. When leather gets burned, it scrunches up into a little ball. This burned leather extrudes from the seat. Simply cut it off with a sharp knife or razor blade. Don’t cut all the way through, just scrape the layer of damaged leather off the top. After doing this, crumple the burned spot in your hands to get all the remaining crispy parts away from the problem area.

Heavy Filler

Heavy filler is a paste that is used for leather car seats and furniture for this exact reason. You may want to apply a few layers, but keep putting it on until the spot is nice and moist. Then use a blow dryer to dry it.

Touch Up

Touch up paint can be purchased for the exact color of your seats, or you can buy kits that let you mix your own. Either way, all you have to do now is put the touch-up paint on and you are done. This is much cheaper than going to a service center and can be done in just a few minutes. If you have any questions about how to get burn marks out of leather seats, leave a comment below!
