If you find yourself owning a Mercedes-Benz in Arizona, then you’re probably going to need to get an emissions test done on your car. Unless, of course, you own one of the electric models. So, what does this test entail? And do you need to take your car in to get it tested? Let’s take a look.
Unless you drive an electric vehicle, you will need to take your car in for an emissions test at some point. This test is to make sure the emissions on your vehicle are not exceeding the max limit. This helps to reduce the footprint your vehicle makes on the environment and is an important step in also making sure your vehicle is functioning properly.
It’s important to keep in mind that all gas, hybrid, and diesel vehicle do contribute to air pollution, and therefore it’s important to keep your vehicle updated on its emissions tests. The frequency of emissions tests largely depends on not only state law, but also when your car was made. In Arizona, it isn’t uncommon to have a yearly emissions test for older models. For newer models, its closer to around every 2 years.
