From melting garbage cans to literally frying eggs on sidewalks, Arizona summers keep getting longer and hotter. It’s important to make sure your vehicle is prepared to take on the extreme heat to prevent it from overheating or blowing out the tires. Engine/Radiator | Make sure your vehicle can cool itself properly by checking the coolant fluid levels and check for any leaks in your radiator and hoses.
Tires | Tires specifically designed for extremely hot weather are ideal, but regular tires will do just fine as long as you keep them inflated. Check your tire pressure levels at least once a month, as under-inflated tires can more-easily lead to a blow-out, especially if the roads are hot.
Air Conditioner | Have your AC system inspected and get any necessary service or repairs taken care of. Being stranded in the summer heat without AC is not a position you want to find yourself in.
Brakes | Have your brakes checked to make sure they don’t need to be repaired or replaced before you head out on long summer road trips.
Towing | Before a summer haul, make sure your trailer and all of your towing equipment are in working order.
