Owners of a 2018 Mercedes-Benz E-Class or S-Class can use the Ask Mercedes app to get to know their vehicle and its functionalities. The app works using the owner’s smartphone camera to scan specific controls and displays in the vehicle. Once the app identifies a feature, the system explains the corresponding function to the app user via text descriptions, photos, and videos, as well as a direct link to the appropriate section of the digital owner’s manual.
“We are creating a personalized customer experience that goes well beyond the vehicle. With innovative services such as ‘Ask Mercedes’, we are further expanding our digital ecosystem”, says Britta Seeger, member of the Board of Management of Daimler AG, responsible for Mercedes-Benz Cars Sales.
The Ask Mercedes app is expected to expand to more models in the coming months. Ask Mercedes is currently available for download in the Apple App Store and is compatible with iPhones 6 and newer running iOS 10 or higher.
