Can you believe the Peanuts comic strip began 65 years ago? Even the Christmas special is 50 years old! To celebrate this milestone, the Peanuts are back on the big screen. If you’ve seen the movie, you may have noticed the shameless Mercedes-Benz advertisement for its latest minivan. But wait, we’ve never seen that minivan before! What is the minivan in the Peanuts movie 2015?

In the film, Charley Brown, Snoopy, and all of their friends take their biggest ride in what is clearly a Mercedes-Benz minivan. We are familiar with the 2016 Metris and the trailblazing Sprinter, but is Mercedes-Benz making another new minivan? The answer, unfortunately, is no. The reason it looks brand new to us is because it is the 2016 Mercedes-Benz V-Class, which is not sold in the United States, even though it has been in production for the last ten years. It is similar to the Ford Transit Connect in size and is unmatched in the industry for luxury.
The V-Class is a classy minivan, but it is not worth moving to Europe to get one. Our advice? The new Metris Van is an excellent supplement! It was introduced this year and features the latest in automotive technology! There has been talk of a U.S. introduction, but it likely won’t take place for a few years. Even then, we won’t get all the same trim and package options that are currently available to European residents. If you live in Europe, you are lucky enough to be able to buy one of the V-Class minivans, but you are not lucky enough to see the movie yet. It is currently out in theaters in America, but won’t premiere until Christmas overseas. If you have any questions about any of the Mercedes-Benz vans available in the United States, let us know!
