Mercedes-Benz AIRCAP and AIRSCARF reinvents the interior cabin experience for luxury vehicle drivers. But how does it do that? Here’s what you need to know about these two technologies.
The Mercedes-Benz AIRSCARF® functions as the name might suggest. This technology puts vents on the backrests of the front seats and blows warm air onto the necks of both the driver and passenger, warming the neck much like a scarf would. The vents can twist and be adjusted up to 36 degrees in order to compensate for the height differences of each individual person driving or riding in the vehicle.
Unlike AIRSCARF®, AIRCAP® is actually going to reduce the airflow in the cabin. This is done in an effort to reduce the noise in the cabin and make it easier for those in both cabins to speak with each other. This technology functions best when going speeds under 100 miles per hour.
Both AIRCAP® and AIRSCARF® are available in the upcoming 2021 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe and Cabriolet. If you are looking for more information on these models you can find it here or contact our team at Mercedes-Benz of Scottsdale.
