2016 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe Fascia
If you’ve been following the Frankfurt Auto Show news, you know that Mercedes-Benz is killing it. If it were a competition, Mercedes-Benz would already have the first and second place trophies. One of the reasons for this is the 2016 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe. It is now supporting a front fascia that eerily resembles the S-Class. Is Mercedes-Benz trying to bump the C-Class up to a higher standard of luxury?
For many, the C-Class is the perfect balance between sport, luxury, and affordability. At the 2015 IAA (Frankfurt Auto Show), it is presented as something more. The first thing that stands out is the diamond-studded grille. It screams flagship, spread from headlight to headlight with a smooth, yet aggressive transition. The headlights are horizontal and the bottom of the bumper features a curvature that could easily be mistaken for the S-Class line.

Inside the car, The C-Class Coupe model unveiled at the IAA is surely not a base model, but it is still exciting to think that it is an easily obtainable production vehicle. Inside the car, the flat-bottom steering wheel immediately sticks out at you. It is obvious now that this C-Class is meant to mirror the coupe version of the S-Class.
2016 C63 AMG DTM
This model is also being shown off in Frankfurt. DTM is a German racing team that specializes in Mercedes-Benz, and it is good at what it does. From the outside, it looks like a C-Class from a video game. it is gray in color with an offset yellow racing stripe, yellow and black racing rims, and a yellow strip on both side skirts. The C63 sports a 4.0-liter V8 that produces over 500 horsepower. Mercedes-Benz indicated an MSRP of $72,700 for the C63 AMG. Since this is a DTM model, it will be harder to obtain and will likely cost around $10,000 more.
The direction Mercedes-Benz is taking with the C-Class is, for lack of a better word, awesome. More luxury without an increase in price? Yes, please. The C300 is available now with an MSRP of $38,950. If you want to take a look at the new 2016 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe fascia, visit Mercedes-Benz of Scottsdale for a test drive.
