AMG® GT Roadsters
The new GT S Roadster was designed as an alternative option for the performance-oriented AMG® GT Roadster shopper, compared to the regular GT Roadster’s smooth, comfortable driving experience ideal for practical, every day driving. Thanks to several modifications to the powertrain, suspension, brakes, and design, the GT S Roadster delivers even more dynamic performance than the GT Roadster. With the addition, the GT Roadster family now offers three open-top two-seater options. The 2019 AMG® GT S Roadster is positioned between the AMG® GT Roadster and the powerful, top-of-the-line AMG® GT C Roadster.
Engine Specs
The new AMG® GT S Roadster is equipped with a handcrafted AMG® 4.0L V8 biturbo that delivers exhilarating, responsive performance. The powertrain delivers a maximum output of 515 horsepower and a maximum torque of 494 lb-ft, available over a wide engine speed range from 1,900-5,000 RPM. The roadster sprints to 60 MPH from a standstill in just 3.7 seconds and reaches its top speed at an incredible 192 MPH. Power is transferred to the engine via an AMG® SPEEDSHIFT DCT 7G sport transmission. The transmission’s wide gear ratio spread uses the engine’s torque to optimum effect.
