2018 Mercedes-Benz A-Class Specs and Features
The newly-redesigned A-Class features more interior room, as well as more cargo capacity, offering drivers a more versatile compact design.
Three efficient engine options were also announced for the new A-Class.
The new A-Class features a number of innovative driver assistance tools that have been adopted from the S-Class. Packages like the ‘Driving Assistance’ package offers a host of semi-autonomous driving features like Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC and Active Emergency Stop Assist.
Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX)
One of the biggest highlights of the Mercedes-Benz A-Class is the Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX). MBUX can be controlled using the simple “Hey, Mercedes” command. The system is integrated into the A-Class’ navigation, infotainment, temperature and phone system. There are multiple configurations of the dashboard featuring multiple displays including dual 10.25-inch displays that offer a free-standing display.
The interior also features ambient lighting, aircraft-reminiscent air vents, carbon fiber accents and so much more, highlighting the Mercedes-Benz design philosophy of ‘Sensual Purity.’
“With clear contours and sensual surfaces, we present high-tech that awakens emotions. Form and body are what remain when creases and lines are reduced to the extreme. Mercedes-Benz has the courage to implement this purism. The new A-Class is both hot and cool at the same time, and like its predecessor it has the potential to usher in a new design era.”
