Things to do during Scottsdale AZ Heat Wave 2016
26 years ago, Scottsdale hit 122 degrees Fahrenheit, setting the record for the highest temperature ever recorded in Scottsdale, AZ. This Sunday, June 19th, the expected high is 120 degrees. To put this into perspective, the highest temperature ever recorded on planet Earth was in Death Valley in 1913, when it was supposedly 134 degrees. Only 14 degrees higher than what is expected. So how do you be prepared for a record-breaking heat wave? Here are some things to do during the Scottsdale heat wave of 2016 that will keep you cool and, most importantly, alive.
Raining in Scottsdale? We have that covered too!
Climate Controlled Showroom
During a heat warning, it is important to stay inside as much as possible, so that is what we are going to do and we invite anyone and everyone to join us! Our two-story sales floor has enough from for an army and we keep our entire campus at a cool 75 degrees all year round! If your air conditioner can’t keep up or if it breaks (knock on wood), come hang out with us during hours of high heat! Heck, it might even be a good time for an oil change!
Symptoms of Heat Illness
If you have to be outside for more than a few minutes, you should know the signs of heat related illnesses such as cramps, exhaustion, a stroke, and even severe sunburn. Also it is important to know what kinds of things are conducive to heat exhaustion, like alcohol, that you should avoid!
The heat can be dangerous, but it doesn’t have to ruin your day. If you have any questions about the Scottsdale heat wave of 2016 or our dealership specifically, leave a comment below! We look forward to seeing you all this weekend!
