It uses sensors and when it detects certain conditions that suggest an accident is about to occur, the system can tighten the front seat belts, adjusts the front head restraints and passenger seat and even close the windows and the sunroof. All of the actions better prepare the occupants for more effective results from the restraint systems in Mercedes-Benz models.
