2017 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class vs 2017 Jaguar F-Type

The 2017 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class and the Jaguar F-Type are weekend warriors with plenty of trim options and available features. The two trims that are most similar, however, are the Mercedes-Benz AMG® SL 63 and the F-Type SVR Convertible. For the price, there are few cars with this high-end level of luxury that will perform better, but which one is right for you can depend on a few different factors. First, we focus on the similarities. 

If you love the sound of  a classic V8 engine and you can't live without being able to remove the roof from your car on perfect days, then you have probably already narrowed down your search to just these two. On the outside, they are less than an inch apart in height, and some two to four inches apart in length and wheelbase. The SL-Class is notably heavier than the F-Type, but it has the extra torque to make up for it. It is also on the longer side of the comparison, taking away from handling abilities but increasing cargo capacity for golf clubs or luggage. On the inside, both cars feature the absolute best in comfort, infotainment, and driver assistance.
