It’s time to finally purchase that luxury coupe that you’ve been researching for the past year. But is it in your price range? Well, now you can get your dream car here at Mercedes-Benz of Scottsdale. Here’s what you’ll see in the 2021 Mercedes-AMG® GT versus what you’ve seen in the 2020 model.
First up, you’ll need to know the 2021 AMG® GT has a new trim; the 2021 Mercedes-AMG® GT 43. This brings new possibilities to the table, as this trim is now more affordable than the higher AMG® 53 trim of the 2020 model, which was up until now the lowest AMG® trim of the GT 4-Door Coupe. So, let’s see how the lower 2021 AMG® GT 43 compares to the 2020 AMG® GT 53. Take a look!

As you can see in the table above, the 2020 Mercedes-Benz AMG® GT 53 does outperform the 2021 Mercedes-Benz AMG® GT 43, as to be expected of a higher trim. However, the question you’ll need to ask is if it outperforms enough to be worth the extra money. After all, the 2020 Mercedes-AMG® GT 53 has a Starting MSRP* of $99,950, whereas the 2021 Mercedes-Benz AMG® GT 43 has a Starting MSRP of $89,900. That’s $10,000 less than the previous year model. And, despite the 2021 GT 43 having less horsepower and torque, there’s less than a second difference of the time it takes to accelerate from 0 to 60 miles per hour. In fact, while the 2020 Mercedes-AMG® GT 53 accelerates from 0-60 mph in 4.4 seconds, the 2021 Mercedes-AMG® GT 43 is hot on its heels at 4.8 seconds. Not too bad!
