Expected to arrive at Mercedes-Benz of Scottsdale in the second half of 2022, the all-electric 2022 QB will be available in a pair of grades - EQB 300 4MATIC® and EQB 350 4MATIC® - with a price tag yet to be revealed. The EQB is an all-electric family crossover built on a 111.3-inch wheelbase that is available in five- and seven-passenger variants with optional third-row seating that is perfect for young adults.
The all-electric powertrain of the 2022 EQB in Scottsdale, AZ is built around a 66.5-kWh Lithium-Ion battery that supplies power to a front-mounted Asynchronous Electric Motor and a rear-mounted Permanently Excited Synchronous Electric Motor. Married to a single-speed transmission, the EQB 300 4MATIC® will manufacture 225 horsepower and 288 pound-feet of torque with a 260-mile electric range.
The EQB 350 4MATIC® provides an upgrade in power with a powertrain that will make 288 horsepower and 384 pound-feet of torque. A long-range EQB is expected to be available at a later date. The EQB power core can be recharged in 11 hours with a standard 240-volt power outlet or in 31 minutes with a 110-kW DC Fast Charging power source.
Developed to compete with the Tesla Model Y, the Audi Q4 e-tron and the Volkswagen ID.4, the 2022 EQB is loaded with luxury amenities and high-end technology. When it arrives at dealerships, the EQB will come standard with a 10.25-inch MBUX touchscreen multimedia system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, DYNAMIC SELECT Drive Modes, LED headlights, Augmented Reality Navigation, 64-color ambient interior lighting, a power liftgate and more. Available upgrades to the EQB spec sheet include a panoramic sunroof, a Head-Up Display, front multicontour seats with massage function and much more.
