There are a lot of trim levels for the 2022 GLE, and that means a lot of options for you. In all, there are five trim levels, and we will try to run through them and explain the highlights behind each. The lineup begins with the GLE 350 and goes up from there with the GLE 350 4MATIC®, GLE 450 4MATIC®, GLE 580 4MATIC®, and the top Mercedes-AMG® GLE 53.
The difference between the GLE 350 and the GLE 350 4MATIC® comes down to the 4MATIC® all-wheel drive which comes standard on all trim levels above that. The GLE 450 4MATIC adds an inline 6-cylinder engine with 362 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque that includes an integrated starter generator (ISG) for an added 21 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque.
The GLE 580 4MATIC® adds an AIRMATIC suspension, 20-inch wheels, and AMG® styling. It also adds a 4.0-liter V8 biturbo that boosts horsepower to 483 and provides 516 pound-feet of torque. It also includes the same ISG. The Mercedes-AMG® GLE 53 gives you the inline 6-cylinder engine but with AMG enhancements it can output up to 429 horsepower and 384 pound-feet of torque.
